Not a complete know at all, but it is my experience that a true 55 265 block and some 56 had NO provision for an oil filter. It was an optional...

<------I have a 53 Ford, basically the same stuff.. I used a brand new set of Aerostar coils (80 bucks), and Fat Man Uprights and steering arms....
That thing looks so great now, although I have always loved it.. I took a bunch of pictures of it in Pismo.. I will post them later today..
