Thanks hotrodprimer and mrconcdid. I am currently chopping another Plymouth like mine, just a little more extreme, but not bad

I'm looking at a '53 tomorrow actually, would you mind to cover a little more about how you did the 1/4 windows and rear window? Did you use the original trim around the rear 1/4's since the shape changed so drastically?

Also, how much was the chop (sorry if I missed that somewhere).

And lastly, do you have a link to your suspension mods (if not can you give a quick run down on that as well).

    Very amazing work for sure!

The rear glass and trim are stock and leaned forward , the quarter windows were modified with the chop and b pillars leaned. The suspension is pretty simple. Tunneled, 4" rear blocks and cut down coils in the front.

I have another 53 Plymouth I'm currently chopping for a friend. A little more drastic. Pics in my album. No thread yet. Thanks

I think it might look weird with the sharp corners at the top and rounded corners at the bottom. Imo

I don't think turning it upside down is the answer either. I do think it would be an improvement to raise the outside bottom corners more however. It would be better if the band of metal along the bottom of the roofline was kept a more consistent width.

That makes sense to me. I wanted to use the full stock glass instead of the smaller shoebox style glass so many other people use. If the glass wasn't tempered I would attempt shaping it. Just did what I could with what I had in a tight time frame , but appreciate the input!

That is a good looking top! The crown to window area looks good, for keeping it stock I don't think you could got it smoother.

Currently chopping another Plymouth for a friend with his help. 53 cranbrook. A little more off the top than mine. Lots of plans on this car, but I'll save them for another thread.....

The profile on your car is spot on. You have a link to the build thread on your friend's car?
