Came across rear end, no tags, only numbers are the ones shown. Any ideas?

I was hoping it would have had a tag or something on it. I ran those numbers but no dice.

Mopar part numbers are sequential, that casting number was first used in the late 50s, so that tells you what it is. and it looks just like a Mopar 8-3/4" rearend. And if you google the casting number, you will find out what it is.

If you take more better pictures, showing the top, and ends, then others will tell you that's what it is.

Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. I think it is a 8 3/4 Dodge rear end. I am going out today to measure the bolt pattern and turn it up on a tire so I can really scour it for additional casting numbers. Regardless it is free, so I think it will drag it home, never hurts to horde!

  9. Follow the link....it's a '57-'64 8 3/4

As far as 8 3/4's it's the least desirable due to the bolt on hubs. You can change to normal axles I believe using factory parts, but you'll have to look that up.

1-3/8" small stem pinion (aka. '741')
    Carrier casting numbers: 1820657 (1957-1964),
    There we go. 8 3/4 Dodge 57-64.
