Never knew him,but I remember his "She Bad" street car.

Sam was a great guy and he kept his car in a glass room that was part of his living room. Always thought that was cool.

Wow, time flies. I can still remember him and his cars from the Ty-Rods meets when it was held in Hudson.

My friend Gary Gustafson introduced me to Sam only a few months before Sam passed away. We were at Sams place and had looked at stuff in his garage and had then gone into his cabin to talk. We were sitting at the kitchen table and it was dusk and not well lit inside Sam's log cabin home. Sam said to Gary should we show John ( me ) the Coupe. Absolutely I said. I stood up and headed towards the door to the outside thinking we were going out to the garage again. No Sam said ....its this way as he headed towards the living room. He flicked on the living room lights , then another switch turned on lights to a room adjacent the living room but separated by a wall with large windows. Inside the room all light up was Sam's beautiful yellow coupe put away for the winter . It sure was a sight to see.

I only spent a few hours with Sam but I enjoyed every minute. Here's to ya Sam !

there waz another side of Sam that not many knew of. I'm almost done a web site that will explain.
It will also tell the tale of "Nefarious II" , my 31 hot rod..
FYI Sams daughter and her husband bought the"house" and are doing a few updates and move'n in by springish...
I have a pic someplace of the Sams coupe in the house. If I can find I'll post it.
