I have been very interested in starting to learn some sheet metal fabrication. So I have been kicking around the idea of making my own radiator shell similar to a 32. Has any one on here ever made a shell? If so, any pics? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I think this is a pretty common first project on a couple of the metalwork sites. usually in aluminum. For a good start, try here:http://www.allmetalshaping.com/index.php and here: http://www.metalmeet.com/
There was a thread here several years ago from a guy that hammered one out on an old tree trunk as I recall. It turned out very nice!... It may have been an old tech week post. If I can find it I'll post it up.
Check out www.metalmeet.com or www.allmetalshaping.com Do a search at either site. Lots of information there.
I love how everyone automatically knew what I was aiming for. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
If you are not trying to do a copy you can use round and/or flat stock to form a custom skeleton and skin that.
