Sweet! But keep in mind, adding roll stiffness to the rear will increase the tendancy to oversteer. Which is fun, but can be dangerous if not well balanced. What's the setup on the front?
Here's the front. Ya see anything wrong with it, let me know. Instagram.com/fadedlovegarage Instagram.com/bigbearchaseme Fadedlovegarage.com
I don't see a front anti-sway bar. Also, is your rear bar a "kit" or are all the pieces homemade? What grade (alloy desgination) is the steel of the bar and what diameter? - EM
I wouldn't worry about oversteer. Its not like your going road racing. While a rear only bar is not ideal from an engineering stand point with typical hot rod speeds around curves you are not going to be affected. I have three rods with rear only bars and they handle great. My P/U handles like a slot car only at slower speeds
,,,may I ask?,,,why such an angle on the arms? I know it will change with weight, but normally they are level/neutral, just curious.
Perfect timing and nice work I just started a thread on rear torsion bar asking for info and pics. Andy
For those wondering about front sway bars, Scandinavian Sreetrods makes one. They are a work of art. Also Deuce Frame Co. makes varying widths of rear bars. They are very easy to mount and work great. You won't believe the difference they make. No more burning wheel well paint going around hard corners.
The arms are at that angle till we get everything on and then adjust. Don't want them to hit the floor. Instagram.com/fadedlovegarage Instagram.com/bigbearchaseme Fadedlovegarage.com
The owner hasn't decided which of his bodies he's going to use. Instagram.com/fadedlovegarage Instagram.com/bigbearchaseme Fadedlovegarage.com
And for all wondering these work very well. Instagram.com/fadedlovegarage Instagram.com/bigbearchaseme Fadedlovegarage.com
That's a nice kit, my truck has one. For my next car, also looking for a nice front bar. TCI's comes to mind (used with their IFS) but I think it will work with tabs welded to the axle for the links. Gary
