I got my head stuck between the rim of the steering wheel and the front of the seat in this girls beretta once, she had to move the seat back before I could extricate myself. But it had high back buckets, so not "traditional"...

 

I love the lines on it. super cool.

 

Wes finished the awesome ladder bars, we put on the taller spring and pushed it out into the street to snap some pics.

Thanks! It's amazing what a little change in ride height can do. I plan on eventually putting different wheels and some taller rear tires/different front tires so that should increase the rake a little more as well.

We had to try it on for size and snap a few pics while it was in the street. Pretty roomy! Wes is about 6' I think, and I am 5'8" or so.

 

Although I am a little overbearing, I am only 5'10". haha

 

Really haven't done much with this in the last few years. I've been taking a lot of college classes, got in a car crash and still paying medical bills, and now that it's winding down a bit I plan to get some more things done.

Not sure where I left off, but I found a gas tank (32 Chevy), a seat that looks like it will work, put in a smaller fan, rebent the dip stick, got some headlights and stands that I still need to install. Wes spun me some cups to support the rubber biscuit engine motor mounts.

I got a reverse corvair steering box that I'm about to mock into place. Also found a Vern Tardel? I think, brake pedal set up that I may use.

I am putting in a Gennie shifter this week when I have some time.

 

Shifter got here in the mail tonight so I put it in. Might adjust the placement but it'll work.

 

Oh man, I've been waiting a long time to see this project continue on. So awesome

 

Any updates Mike? Seems like just yesterday it was in my driveway!

 

Not much to speak of. Got some little chrome air cleaners one for now, and one for later, if I run dual 1 barrels. Started working on the engine, getting it ready to try and fire it up one of these days soon.

 

I've been working on a steering box mount while I'm on vacation. It's just about ready to weld up and tack on the frame. Once I get a column and steering wheel in the car, it's going to feel a lot more like an actual car I'm sure.
