I'd hate to have to change a spark plug on that engine when hot.

I don't think those headers were
actually real (or at least not ever
intended to be actually used!) I
    vaguely remember seeing pics of
that car and those bizarre "headers"
'back in the day' (late '60's or early
'70's???) in one one of the car mags
    - Hot Rod, Car Craft, PHR or ???, as
a bit of a spoof, to illustrate a tech
article on tuned and equal length
    headers. I'm pretty sure these
headers were made up as a prop,
just for the magazine photo shoot,
rather than actually built for use.

PS - Does anyone recall the circa
    1960's or 70's vintage, magazine
issue and article that my increasingly
    feeble, age-addled and momentarily
    'caffeine deprived' (or perhaps 'caffeine
depraved'??:eek:) mind is trying to recall???

Years ago, there was a Lums on Woodward the sold hotdogs. Went there a few times, but didn't think the hot dogs were that great. My cousin and I called it "Slums".

The building is still here but has been a used car lot since, must not have been too great as I only remember going there once. I remember a customer coming in the shop saying something about buying into that company and must have been the one I was thinking about since I think there was only one in town,he said it was a disaster.

Technically I believe the "Bundle of Snakes" referred to 180 degree headers. I first heard the reference attributed to the Ford Indy engine, but you see the concept on lots of late 60's formula cars. GT40s too.

Visually, this certainly qualifies as a bundle of something.

we used to have 2 Lums in Peoria, they were open 24/7. we used to go there after drinking nights @ 3am and the place would be packed with other partiers trying to sober up before going home. the food always seemed good to me but that was- as I said, at 3 am after a drunk. good times! :D

Those rear fenders appear to have been widened. I know just how you feel about its whereabouts. Hindsight is truly 20/20, but that doesn't help us now. Hope you find it.
