Power Tour hit texarkana sat in little rock today carries on to memphis tues. Some great rides both traditional and OT. Didnt see any Hamb stickers. Hugh line of parricipants to get in @ 3am. Cool stuff
I could only do Dallas to Texarkana. I didn't see too many traditional rods or customs. Mostly muscle cars but it was still really cool. The best part for me was seeing hundreds of old cars out on the road, in motion not static like at a regular show. This was my first time but I am definitely going to do more of it in the future. It would be even cooler if HAMBers started to infiltrate.
I stopped by the show in Arlington last Saturday. Plenty of nice street rods (of course) and some cool vendor displays. I did manage to find a few HAMB friendly cars in attendance. Here's A few shots I got with my phone. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I plan to check it out in Concord (Charlotte), NC Friday. Hopefully, next year I'll be much more involved! Looks like a lot of fun! Jim
Was making plans to go the distance from Arlington to Charlotte. My wife was even in on it until she looked at the calender. Two granddaughters graduating high school this week, one Wednesday and one Saturday.......oh well.......someday
any idea on how many makin the long hall? also are most taking the backroads,or hitting the superslab?
I think 12-1500 are making the long haul. They have a posted route on the website that is almost all backroads. Sometimes there are traffic jams in the little towns but that's part of the fun.
Ive made three PT's but the only thing I miss about not making it this year is the Long Haul party at Coker's.
I did a short section of the very first PT when it came thru Pa. Has really gone over the top commercially the past few years. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I did the whole thing for the first time. 1957 Chevrolet 210 from Atlanta to Arlington and the the rest. My Dad and brother (1940 Ford Deluxe) went with me. It was really something to see. Lots of cool cars. In fact there were so many cool ones that I actually got tired of looking at them. I got over that though. Had a blast. Spent 500.00 on gas and about the same on food and car repair Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
