This was my second year a the LSRU and it was the best by far. The cool thing about this year was the fact that I've been meeting people through the HAMB and through Facebook/Instagram and other social media pages like Travis Scanlan, Trent Sherrill and Nick Hoesing, aka Malcolm. It's cool to see these people again and again at shows all over the country and see what they're working on and how they're cars have evolved. My sister and I drove down from Arkansas and had a fantastic weekend hanging out at Austin Speed Shop, Congress, the Los CoChinos/Strugglers party as well. I got to meet and hang out with some great hot rodders/artists like Coop, Norwell, Jack Rudy and of course everyone's favorite, ol Jesse James (who, in a non douchy way, was actually really cool to talk to). Overall, it was a great weekend and is turning into my favorite show out of the whole year. Here's a few photos from the Friday-Saturday night stuff throughout Austin.
Yea same to you man. Its' cool to see how much your car changed in just a few months. Looks really good.
Very nice job of showing the nighttime scene. Getting these kind of pictures is harder than most people think. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Dan! These are my favorite shots to take. They're challenging and fun all at the same time. It was nice meeting you at the Roundup! Your work is always enjoyable
Cory, great shots. Thanks for sharing. Like Dan said, night shots are tricky. Great color and captures. I will have to make it there. Slim
Thanks guys. To me, car show pictures can get so boring. It's really easy to just take a generic picture of a car that's just sitting still. Thats why I love your photos Dan because you use hdr to make them realistic. Really dig yours too Blake with your real shallow depth of field. Its a very artsy feel. I always want to try to find a new technique to taking a photo and try to make it as cool and interesting as possible. The cool thing about the night shots is when you get a car going by in the background to give it some light trails and something cool to look at besides just the car.
Congress is always fun. The stuff off of congress is just as fun. If only there weren't so many locals... By the way, your guys' roadster looked freakin outstanding. Great car
Right on man! Glad you like them. Can't wait to see the Master Blaster when it gets finished. It was looking good when we were at the shop.
Great shots! You're a professional with nighttime shots compared to me.. I feel like a hack now. Thanks. Say.. Aren't you corymcmahon on Instagram?
