One we found a few months ago--old project-now blown apart-should have chassis done in a couple of weeks-decent old car. Body and paint in progress.

THX--we blew it apart weds in about 3 hrs. Body is very nice as are fenders. Haven't picked a color yet-love Cloud mist grey but have had 4 that color-has to be a stock 40 color though. Hope to have body done and back on chassis in 60 days.

    Looks great!

It's hard to beat a CMG '40 Standard Coupe in my book.

It may end up CMG as a guy is after my CMG deluxe so it would be OK

  6. If I may ask, what is CMG? Nice find BTW

  8. No matter which way you go with the color, we all know it will be a top-fight build. Looking forward to watching the progress.

Always love your builds! But then again I think I might love 40's almost as much as you:)

I was checking out a 34build on here the other day and they painted it 56 t bird sage green. Interesting color not just the same old colors you always see. Looked really nice on the 34. Not sure how it would look on a 40 though.

Any of Henrys colors will be a good choice.I am not much of a blue color person, but my next 40 i am considering Washington blue.

  14. Now you're starting to piss me off! If only I had half of your drive. My 40 needs a complete overhaul so bad but I know if I blow it apart it will never see the light of day again!!

THX for the comments/input. Hopefully it will be up and running by June but I never quite make my timelines. Have done 6 deluxe coupes over the years but this is the 1st std.

  16. .........Sadly I must admit, I'm in the same predicament.

Don't use Pepto Bismol for an eye rinse, that would be off label use....

Great start on the project. Hard to go wrong with a 40 coupe. It seems to be in good hands when I look at your avatar.
