I wonder why people feel the need to comment on a thread that's a year old without reading or at least browsing the thread to see what's been done.

Anyway, great build, I was really looking forward to that LS but the 348 will look cool.

  2. Are you going to chop it?

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Did some inner and center rocker panle repair today, also replaced lower A pillar. Cant believe the clown who installed the new rockers on this car with nothing behind it!!

That metal you used on your inner rocker looks like galvanized steel...is it?

I love finding butcherd out stuff when I start cutting off parts. The previous owner put some new rocker panels on in the wrong spot so I cut them back off to find that there was nothing behind them. All the inner structure was rotted off.I have spent the last four weekends making new panels and floorboard sections. What a butcher whoever this clown was who did this work!! Really.... welding floorboards over the top of the old ones and filling in the gaps with Henry's roofing tar??!! WTH??

Just venting. Not surprised, I have seen worse. Just crazy what some people consider "fixed". I'll try to post pictures tomorrow.

It's a good guess, but after sleeping on it, it was probably some cheap off brand considering the quality of the work the clown did! :D

Yeah, didn't think that hack would pay up for "name-brand" Henry's :)

    Steve,

I live in Santa Maria and I just read your entire thread. Very impressed with the work you did. I just bought a 51 Merc and I was hoping I can stop by and check out your build and pick your brain a bit.

    Let Me Know?
