Do you guys think this thing is c-notched or Z-ed in the rear to get that low? The reason I ask is because it still has the gas tank out back. Im not so sure you can get it down that much with a c-notch. I could be wrong though. It happened once before.
looks like a c notch with the frame sitting on the rear axle tub or damn close to it and a really tall set of rear tires that makes it look even lower
Its up there in my post. In no way could it be called a C notch because its not a notch by any definition I know of. It has to break thru the top of the frame. Probably more like a mini truck frame treatment. Or maybe its under slung set up
I think what 31 vicky was saying must be the case. It's not just a c-notch,but a section of the frame is raised up above the axle. The rear of the frame seems to be in the original position in relation to the body. A c-notch is just a notch in the rail, with the top of the rail keeping it's original shape.
Gettin low gettin low from the window , to the wall! Till the sweat drops off balls ! Till all these bitches crawl. Y'all skeet skeet skeet mother fuckers . Every time I see a low low car I think of them goofy bug eyed crack heads singing that song
HAHAHA you said mini truckin! A C notch no matter the magnitude of it should have whatever is taken from the bottom of the rail added to the top. Thats why i used the term C notch.
I don't think the owner is a HAMBer, but his car has been discussed on the Utah board to some degree. I'll post a link there, maybe someone can answer the questions exactly. One of us Utah guys knew a LOT about the build.
This maybe how it was done http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=GHQk0vwwbQw&desktop_uri=/watch?v=GHQk0vwwbQw Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I vote deep C-notch and very little axle clearance at ride height. YOU would be surprised with how small a frame section you can get away with over the axle but adding some materiel above to restore lost strength is always a good idea. We add a cresent shaped piece on top of the frame and modify the floor so it rises over the hump in the frame. Frank
Seems thats they way they build them in Utah. Here is another car that looks really similar to the green one. It says its c-notched in the ebay ad.
