'41 Plymouth grille. I searched for years but couldn't find a good one. I found one in the swap meet at the Turkey Rod Run one year but the guy wanted an insane amount for it. Wound up selling the car.

Howard Aluminum Desoto heads, Only 10 sets made and most have been milled down from years of racing. Molds were lost in a shop fire a long time ago. I have talked to one guy with a set but they are not for sale anytime soon.

In 1952 FoMoCo aka Mercury had an accessory map light. It was a cigarette lighter with a built in light.. '53 they went to a dash mounted light..

Still looking for the lighter light.

Also they had a FoMoCo traffic light viewer. I would like to find one to cover the holes in my dash.

    A early,origninal 289 cobra,But first a winning powerball ticket,

  7. Would like to find my old 57 Pontiac 2 door. I have an ad in the classifieds "wanted" forum. I haven't seen it since 1972 when I sold it in Northern Oregon. I converted it to a 389/4 speed but when I broke 1st gear and the wristpin began rattling, I let it go. Should have fixed it and kept the car but a 64 corvette coupe was calling my name.

  9. The 1939 Oldsmobile Model 80 Coupe that my uncle gave me when I was 13 (1963). My dad would not let me bring it home so it ended up with my uncle's mechanic in Houston.

That 57 poncho looks cool. I like the 2 tone paint.

Oldolds , There is a fellow at the AACA who goes by knobsoup who makes castings of little parts like door handles , steering wheels and just recently a rear light for a Lincoln . Ask him if he can make your REO light . Best of luck in your search , Mark

I want a 63-67 Vette roadster to build into a gasser. Come to think of it a 57-62 would be fine also. Over the top pricing for complete junkers keeps me on the fence.

Yeah, a corvette gasser like the old John mazmainian one. I love that one. A corvette body that year in terrible condition is still big money.

The yellow coupe in behind the deuce. I rode in that car in 1975 and then it disappeared. The color inspired my 34 3 window build in the early 90's, as you can see from my avatar. I believe the five window is in Alberta, Canada somewhere - anyone know?

Hey Chevy 55, there is a 60 corvette body for 4900 in Michigan. I'll see if I can get you the number.

I posted earlier in a thread that seems to have gone the way of the dodo bird :D

I believe it was called something like what car would be your holy grail or something like that :)

I would love to one day find an affordable deuce 5 window coupe. Full fendered would be great.

Not that I have been searching all my life but finding one would be good.

    Maybe one day :)

A tunnel wedge for my FE. Figuring on a slightly more affordable Dove re-pop before it goes back on the road.

    A 1956 Chevy truck too.

  21. Does it need to be in good shape, or is it hard enough to find that you'll take a pitted one?

  22. I guess I have simple tastes, because I have found just about every old car or part that I have tried searching for. You just gotta have patience.

Not a car but when I was 14 years old (50 years ago) I went to look at a Mustang scooter with an Ariel square 4 engine in it. The guy wanted $200 for it. I couldn't afford it and I've never forgotten it.

Not my whole life, but for a while now.

Been on the hunt for a 55-56 Ford Fairlane 2 door. Almost had one at 11 years old it was going to be my Dad and I's project. Unfortunately he passed away from leukemia shortly after that one slipped from our grasp.

  25. I'd settle for just the fake rear vent and grille of a 58 Impala roof. Just have ever found a 58 roached out to the point it became available.

  26. A 40 ford convertable - just like the one my dad had in 1941.
Got a great pic with him standing beside it. Dark hair, herringbone wool suit - gotta find that pic and post it up...

  27. A 1957 Plymouth 2 door station wagon... I know where ones for sale and very reasonable but something else always comes up and puts the deal off on my end... This time I'm buying a house instead... At least when the next time comes around I'll have a place to put it since the house has enough garage space for 6 cars

Either a '59 DeSoto Fireflite hardtop (not an Adventurer - too rare and too much chrome) or a '57 Buick Century hardtop.

And 76 years after he first saw one new, my Dad still would like a '37 Cord 810.
