Thanks for your reply’s. Here’s a few pics from today when I had my two cars out so I was able to do some serious cleaning of the garage.

Awesome. This is the best era of GM car design I think.

It’s time to go in to paint booth.

Start with skirts and front fender extensions.

It’s finally time to paint my Olds. Choosing a color is hard to say the least but I managed to come out with this “Cayenne orange”. It’s a metallic with pearl so it looks more of red when inside my garage and more to burnt orange when out in sunlight.

Finally done and time to drive her home.

Back home again and started to bring back all the shiny stuff…

I have a 47 chevy but I like your Olds. Thats quite a build in a short time. Seems a lot of us are picking shades of maroons or reds. I had all my trim redone and polished. I do like the gas door on the Olds rear fender. I put a Hagen one on the right side of the Chevy. Wish I put on the bumper/license plate over-ride but we Frenched in my plate. I still have to figure out my hood the gap isn't correct and the powder coated hignes appear to be my problem.

Ivar, these Olds models have a trailing arm setup from factory with open driveline and coil springs so I just remove the trailingarms and brackets from the stock rear axle and welded them on the Caprice rear after I set the pinion angel in my preferred ride height. I understand that you have the stock drivetrain in yours with the closed driveline so I suppose your choice will be either go with a 4 link or trailingarm setup.

Orn, that's right! I have the stock drivetrian. Thinking about making a trailingarm setup but still in doubt! I was reading about the 4 link but a lot of people say I need a lot of cutting in my floor! Well, first finish the front... then the back! When I have more questions I will send a PM maybe you could help me out then!?!? Thanks anyway!! And keep up the good work! Cheers!
