Thanks Delton and Eric, hopefully it turns out as nice as y'alls has! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Looking Really Good! Frame turned out really nice! I thought you said you didn't want it to lay all the way out! .... aaaand the snowball. lol
Appreciate it everyone.... Thanks Lowrders, yes the snowball affect, the frame is resting about 1/2 an inch off the ground and once chopped I might want to make some adjustments, but then again once the body is back on, I might not want to do anything, I'm sure it will look good either way
Alright, the bumper has been repaired and moved up around two inches. I ended up having to order the reproduction bezels for the car. The old bezels have some pretty bad cracks in the wrong places and it would have cost more to get those repaired than to buy the reproduction ones. Heres a pic of the way everything sits now...
Don't worry the mercury part will be gone and trunk lid smoothed Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Firewall work going on... The bumperette is done and mounted. Its 54 Merc bumper guards with the 54 Chevy center bar from the rear cut down. Just a few extra shots....
Thanks, hopefully we will have the taillights and tail pan section wrapped up pretty soon and we can get the body back on the frame.
Lookin good man. I like the idea of the chevy center with the merc bumper guards, they look good together.
Looking so cool, your ride is going to be so fine and a great cruiser. Will be watching.............. CRUISER
Thanks, I'm running Coker G78's...4 inch white wall Really not much progress going on. The bumper is all mounted now and work has started on finishing the tailpan section. Hopefully in about a week I'll have something for everyone. Thanks for following along!!
Appreciate it, 54 Mercury bumperettes with the 54 Chevy rear center bar between the 54 chevy bumperettes cut down....Thanks again
Ok, I've got some updates for y'all. As you can see in these pictures the reverse light has been cut off and the area below the reverse light filled. One thing to note is if you follow the line from the back of the bezel there is a line that has been continued on the area filled below the taillight.... Here you can see that continuation....
Here is the view from a distance without the bumperette in place.... and a side view....I am really excited about the appearance of length it gives to the rear. Tail pan section is being formed, body will be back on the frame at the beginning of next week!!!! and the other side, still just a little blending needed at the top...
