Get about 10 day laborers and pay em each 5 bucks to push it into the garage. How hard can this be?

Greaser815's idea is the best way. That's what I first thought too.

If it is the 50 Ford that you describe in another thread, I would lay an 8 foot 4x4 on the garage floor 5 feet from the back wall and drive it in.

No brakes is not an excuse not to move a car from the street to your garage.

It has a rebuilt engine? What keeps you from driving it in?

Just doin' my part to ensure this comedic thread goes at least a few more pages...

Ha, ha!! This is almost as good as why did the chicken cross the road!!

  8. Build it in the street. You may have to wait till spring though cause you'll want to be working on it with no shirt on incase you get on Cops.

I dont think that's really any of your business or any one elses. It's been said before, "can't a chicken cross the road without having his motives questioned"?

To show the armadillo it could be done!

A rollback got my mammoth '87 Cadillac Brougham into my garage, up a steep driveway out of a narrow alley. I was amazed.

Depends on which way your house faces. If it faces east or west, then you missed your chance of it pushing easier by one day. You see, last night there was a full moon, and there would be a gravitational pull on the car by the moon, so with an east facing house it would push easiest when the full moon was setting, west facing when the moon was rising. If it faces north or south, then I really don't know what you're going to be able to do. Maybe push it in with another vehicle.

Reminds me of an old story. Jim Nabors was sitting in a bar in Hollywood, and was having trouble sliding his seat up to the bar. Rock Hudson walked up and asked Jim "can I push your stool in for you?"

Get hold of Carl Fredricksen. He moved a house by balloons to Paradise Falls. He should be able to tell you how many balloons you need to get it up.

Obviously it's a new house. Bad planning. So no matter what we tell him BAD THINGS are gonna happen.
Easiest way I can see is tear down the house and start lower.

The poor guys probably got dragged to the in-laws and has not had a chance to defend himself here. Wait till he gets home and sees this mess. However surely in 11 pages there must be an answer to his dilemma!! Can you get car Viagra? That might get it up.

Can we be sued if we give our advice and something goes terribly wrong? I see things here going terribly wrong.
Personally I'd had that beat up ole Ford in the garage, running, with new brakes by now, and been out looking for a lower driveway.
Oddly it looks almost like my daughter's new house in Illinois on a small hill.

Winch works for me. Would much prefer a flat driveway! Oh well.

  27. we have all overlooked the obvious, large magnets!

  28. Page 12 is on the horizon now.

The idea of magnets is interesting ,
Has anyone yet mentioned a steam powered catapult similar to aircraft carriers.
I noticed the trebuchet and thought it was a bit overkill .

The trebuchet is only overkill if the car misses the garage and lands on the house behind them........................and it turns out to be a small school or something!

    Doc.
