There's nothing particularly unique about mine, but its special to me because its what my dad wanted. RIP dad, I miss you!

OH, its an Offy Super Dual and Uncle Max built a pair of 97's for me.

this is why i love the hamb.i'm always learning.i love the look of any navarro stuff and i guess i just assumed he made a 4x2 intake.what a let down.you gottta admit any intake with 4 stombergs looks amazing even if there's no advantage over 3x2's.

My dream flathead intake is a front drive blower going into the exhaust ports in an intake and exhaust swap. Reverse flow blown flathead. I hope to bring this dream to reality in the next couple of years.

Does anyone do a post war 8ba edelbrock slingshot, sure they do the pre 48 but I am having trouble finding an 8BA one.

  16. True Edelbrock sling shots (original casting)were all pre-war, rumor is that the mold was lost and or destroyed while Vic was deployed. So no 8BA versions were ever cast.

    I've got mine

Oz Rat - that's pretty cool. Have fun tuning it ;-)

  19. Well if we are dreaming I would love to own a hilborn setup for a flathead. I mean we are dreaming right?

  20. Your right, since we are dreaming. I want an Ardun intake, since it only works with the Ardun heads, I will need them too!

  21. Actually when I saw "dream" my mind started to whirl. I think if it had to do with being nearly unobtanium I would really like to own an Evans intake and heads to go with it. Those would be 21 stud block letter of course. Pretty plain but it was the start of an era of flathead speed parts.

I have a Fenton super dual on my 8BA with Offy heads that I like real well.

The 59A for my roadster has an early Evans dual along with early Evans heads.
I like that combination a lot:)

  23. Why not just run the pre 48 style on your 8BA ??

  24. Edelbrock Regular for me, this is one I found a few months ago. ImageUploadedByTJJ1359498878.735312.jpg

Back in the day, we fell in love with Stromberg four bbls, off early Buicks, because they had the same little bolt pattern as the "Y" block 50's Fords. We used these things on everything because they were "trick." Turned out they had the throttle shafts off set a whole bunch to use engine vacuum to help seat the throttle blades, when idling.

One carb was still doable, but two fours were impossible to open from an idle. Engine off, they opened just fine. Running, they were just locked solid. So my favorite intake for a flattie, would be anything that did not have two straight eight Buick, four barrel Strombergs.

I have a original Navarro 2 carb intake on my merc 8 cylinder. But my dream intake is for my flathead six is a cyclone 2 carb . I would ditch my edmunds in a split second. My friend cyclone Kevin and I talked about bring it back if we could ever get enough orders to remake the patterns . Maybe someday.
