I got a good laugh out of this one. I had a '70 T-Bird in the '80s. I surprised quite a few people with this heavy beast, mainly when I was running 110 straight octane avgas. That 429 loved it! It eventually ended up in the '56 F100 that is my avatar. Good memories!

Its funny how photos work sometimes, it looks like most of the tray is missing haha angle of the photo cuts it all off. You can't even see it out the rear window.

Yep. Bought headers from him many, many years ago, I was 15 and he took time out of his busy day to talk with me on the phone for about 20 minutes with suggestions for my 289 build. Good guy.

Yes, downer's and booze, to be shunned unless a person has real pain ie: funeral, tooth ache, sprained ankle, ect.

  21. Thank you for those 40 plus year old memories.
We were a fortunate generation to have lived thru those times.

  22. In my case, late teens early 20s, girls, Camaros, choppers, custom painting, Cragars, late night partying, did I mention girls, I wouldn't change a thing.

This was for sale at the Cedar Rapids swap this fall. Don't remember the number but was thinking price seemed fair.

Many moons ago. The vette had GIANT colored metalflake in the black paint. That is nerdy me and my present wife next to my old RS Convertible in the middle. The black Superbird in the back row was a Street Freak with wild paint and huge rear tires. The guy still owns it stuck in the back of a garage...

i agree. i used alot of narcotics back in the day. and today im usiing alot of them again. but there is a difference, i need them to keep the pain managable from a bike wreck in 05.without them i couldnt live.i wouldnt live. the pain is to great.and when i hear about people getting busted for the same drugs i use i get mad as hell. i have to jump thru hoops to get mine every month. and when enough people get busted or die they will outlaw the very same thing that saves my life.and i cant have that!!how does that pertain to hotrods, well if it wasnt for these drugs i couldnt walk and if i cant walk i cant work on the cars or bikes that i build. and thats is one of the reasons i live is to build more cars and bikes.

Rocky, there were some badass cars built in England, I saw that Camaro at Belle Vue, I believe the 2nd one in 1977.

That's the first '55 I ever loved. I remember it at the Autorama.
