Just looked at all the pages tonight. A guy called today, and wanted me to work on his seat for a snowmobile. asked me about a shop in town in the early 80`s, had done some work on his 54 Ford pickup. He was from a town near by. I asked what color it was, I remembered the truck and said he needed to drive it more often. So he shows up this mornin driving his truck. We get to to talkin and he`s only driven it 13 thousand miles in 31 years. The truck remains unchanged and still looks dam good. The reason I said this is because it looks like OahuEli truck with a painted box. By the way, it was a 50 mile round trip this morning.

I wouldn't kid around about this stuff. I'm sure most of the guys back then were making jokes about the old codger driving the "antique" coupe. Everything comes full circle. Hell, vans are making a comeback so you just wait, shackles, air shocks, patriot side pipes and deep dish cragars on muscle cars will make it's round. Doesn't mean you have to accept it though.

  11. Prices were good back then, I also bought a Vette in June '72. Paid $750 for this '62 and still have it.

Hey Rocky, wasn't that avitar of yours from a porn movie in the 70's. I seem to recall a scene where there are some crows talking jive, etc.

Lookit the guys before speed (in the late 40's onwards, still lean) - no trash-food vendors in the back-ground back then either

The movie he's thinking about is (I had the wrong name).

Fritz the Cat, sorry 'bout that.

Yes, Fritz the Cat - 1972 the first animated feature film to receive an X rating in the US.
The crows were a crack up "So you wanta' be a crow do ya?"

Porknbeaner, it was a full color movie, a vivid, glowing, technicolor, neon, candy colored extravaganza, from what I remember...:D

  29. Sometimes color escapes me and when I get real small, as my old man would have put it, it gets even worse. I do remember laughing my ass off at that movie. I probably wasn't supposed to but sometimes laughter is not something I can control.

  30. Now that was pretty slick even in the new millenium. The crow reminded me that a friend had about 12 hours of Heckle and Jeckle on Super 8. There was nothing like veging out and watching Heckle and Jeckle 'til the sun came up.

Sometimes on tune up saturday it was a little rough to stay focused though.
