ordered my B&M shift improver kit, i have alway's put in the street and strip modes when i did them(muscle cars) but this is going in my roadster, i was thinking of doing the Heavy duty-towing improvement, 354 camed 8x2, 3.55 gears and aprox. 2600 sthall, will be street driving only, don't want it to hit to hard on shifting. just want to get better shifting than the stock lazzy shift, what have you guy's using on these light cars?
I always use the B/M transpak, I think it has more in the kit than just the shift improver kit. Anyway I always use level 2, street/strip. Did the towing setting once and saw no real improvement over stock.
I used the B&M Shift Iimprover Kit in the RV mode in a 350 in my '49 Chevy pickup and was very happy with the shifts. Blue
32 3window 3000lbs. 350 sbc, 471 blower 15% overdrive,350 th transpac street/strip 3000 stall. Many trips down the 1/4 mile and street driven firm shift on the strip. Smooth on the street. Blaine
Running the street strip mode in mine, it only bangs hard under throttle, otherwise it shifts just fine...327, 2400 stall and 3.08 gears, truck is about 3000#. Have run the tow pack in another rig, and was not much different from stock. Tom
