Do they still hold at the Orange show grounds. I was thinking about driving down for the show it would b e a great road trip 1200 miles
They don't allow cars in primer because they say they are unfinished. Mostly Muscle cars that you see every day. 100+ degree temps and 1,000's of non-car guys swarming all over your car, count me out.
I'll be there to look at the cars, won't have mine there though. Still a good place to see a lot of old cars for free.
They wanted to have it at Glen Helen, but Jack Brown from Stater Bros. wants to keep it dwntwn. He contributes 600K, so what he says, goes! Watch how many cockroaches come out at night, when the sun goes down on dwntwn S.B. An I'm not taking about the people.
Don't forget all the street bums and the families with 10 out of control kids that are climbing all over the cars and the parents are doing nothing about it. Too many non-car people around there for me. And yes, it used to kick ass until the non-car people made it their place to hang out. I quit going a few years ago when they were adamant about enforcing their 1973 and under rule, but they allowed the PT Cruiser club to participate because one of the City Council members owned a PT. I fuckin' hate PT Cruisers because the owners think they suddenly have a Street Rod.

I went to it 2005-2008. Really turned to shit after that. I think it was 70$ to register.....nowadays that is a trip to Bonneville for me! I wouldn't go back if I was still there....mullet fest.....
This is why I like OCCA's Great Labor Day Cruise. They charge for spectators, which keeps the riff-raff and non-car people OUT.
I went mainly because it was a decent free show that was close to home, but i do have to say this was the worst one ive been to yet. Total Crap.
