Guys I am looking for info on an old gasser that ran in the phoenix area the name of the car was HiO silver a 48 ford prefect any help would be great found a web site that tells some about it the owners name was Adolf Valenzuela? not sure on the spelling thanks Terry
Amazing that it was left in that state without some knuckle head painting heart beat graphics on it in the 80's!!
One of my retired neihbors had the car for 40 years hoping someday to restore and race it. He ran a rear engine dragster in the 70's. He lived in the same area of arizona and race a flat head a roadster his name was Clyde Trampp > He wants her to be restored to her former glory and thats what we have planned !
Just so you know it was Hi Ho Silver, not Hi o Silver - they were just getting creative with the spelling, using the H for both ..... and Lopers was Little Hoss (not horse) and the later Little hoss Too - which was the first unblown Anglia in the 9's
thats neat! especially w/the prefect front , if you would like a tow vehicle for it at the tract ,i have a 52 prefect w/rhd all original -w/same front -make a neat tow vehicle -to tow to line and return to pits with ? thanks for pics of the car ! mike -carryallman-wahl
I'm trying to help you here, so please take it that way, okay? If you continue to do search's, you might consider using the actual name; "Hi Ho Silver". That "H" in front of the "I" and the "O" is supposed to be used for both words.... (long time Lone Ranger fan...) Don is too quick for me...
Thanks guys I am still in shock I miss spell stuff and the web site I was on said little hoss sorry for that but those guy balls must have drug the ground this cars frame is about as big as my 4 wheelers it still has lead biscuts in the bumper !
LOL, Little Hoss is right - but you posted Little HORSE Oh and a period or two would make your posts easier to read as well. Hope you can come up with some pictures of it in original form, I'd love to see them!
Neat find, a lot of the Prefects got the glass Anglia fronts. As said, nice to see one with the Prefect front on. Mart.
There is a guy in phoenix with a gray Anglia with a big block has it on his build site it a little hoss
Neat car and a 4 door to boot.Your right thou most of the ole racers had stainless nuts to drive some of the stuff we see but when you want to go fast I guess back then dumb just took over along with the lack of rules!
Thanks T McG he said he had seen pics of it in the hot mags in the 50's and 60's hope to find out more .Thanks for your help
Update I found some one that knows the old car and has some pictures .I also found one of the old race cars owners we should get some history soon !
