this years west coast customs cruzin nationals @ santa maria marked the beatniks 2oth anerversary and since we didnt have anything new to bring we desided to pull the chrysler out of hibernation and thrash on it the only catch was we had only 8 days and 3 guys to get a long list of things done
    body work
    prime
    wet sand
    seal
    sand
    paint
re locate gas tank and mount inside of trunk ( hung to low )
    make new filler neck
lower rear of car sits to high
make door panels , package try panel & rear panels
    apollstery above panels
clean & die rear t bird seat
    paint inside garnish moldings
    install rear glass
so with the lilttle bit of time we had it was only naterial to have time limetts on things like body work and time spent on the interior we gave our selves 2 days to get as much of the body work done as we could
the paint was going to have to be done by wensday so we would have all day thursday to put the car together that ment i was going top have to do a 20 hr or more paint job in 12 hrs
so fasten your seat belts folks enjoy the ride

  13. It's tough to tell in pictures but that color appears to be real close to a color Pontiac had in '65 & '66 called Iris Mist.

    Sweet stuff!
I'm digging the paint on that car.

Looks so much better than the 'blunt' purple on my own '57. My heap has just too much purple going on on it..

Been thinking of lacing the roof or do a good scallop-job with gold/bronze orso.

How much is that Chrysler chopped? About 2 or 3" I would guess?

  24. I think you should be thinking about the next tech week and be ready for it with a paint fade tech.

    That's pretty damn cool.

  25. Lookin' better with every new post.

Is that going to stay with a satin finish or is it getting a deep coat of clear for depth?

    Either way it'll look cool.

Now, I'm waiting for those parking lot burnouts you promised!

    Awesome!

I saw this car on craigslist a few months back and then REALLY noticed it in folks' Santa Maria pics... so were you selling it then, or did you just recently buy it?
