Thanks for bringing this one back up Kev, fantastic work right there. I hope he's not gonna cover it up with paint n chrome.

very very cool, I met Mike once at Rangiora...really nice unassuming bloke. This pickup is sure chock with details of the highest order!! looks shorter in the wheelbase than I was thinkin but the photos could be deceptive. Impossible to single out one favourite aspect of Mike's work on this 'un :)

Kev or Greg,do you know if its gona get paint or Gibbs? If poss I'd also love to know how he intends to weather seal the doors...

I saw this in the flesh last week. Words and pictures cannot explain the intracasies (Sp?) on this truck! Unbelievable quality and a genuinely nice guy.

I know on the right hand side at the rear there is a spot for the sissor jack under a beautifully finished panel with counter sunk screws to hold it down into countersunk depressions in the panel below. The jack isn't just floating around in the hole either, it has a bracket to hold it and not let it rattle!!!

  20. Here are some current shots showing some good progress. Truck was taken apart to get it out of the room it was in and is now in final assembly.

Hang on to your shorts everyone..... cause that little PU is coming to the states for all of us to see!

If all goes well we can make a lap from So Cal thru Colorado and down to the Lone Star Round Up, we'll see how it goes.

Love the work on the frame itself. The fit and finish is carried through to EVERYTHING. That rear crossmember where the rear frame rails mate up, and the way the mounts for the upper link is boxed into it...Wow. Reminds me somehow of sixties era indy and can-am cars.
