I can use lowering shackles on my stock spring and perch to get a 2" drop. Can I remove leaves to get it down further? If so, how many and which ones? :)

Remove a couple from near the top, like the second and fourth down. You can flatten it a bit (check threads about reversing at home) and you won't need the long shackles. 32 springs get flat pretty easy.

I think from memory I removed every second spring and that left me with 6 total. I also had the spring flattened out by a spring works. car rides as good as you would expect a buggy sprung car will put a photo up so you see how it sits. chassis is C notched. and rear X member is flattened to only have a drop of 2".

so will depend on your chassis set up to as to how low you can get it.

I would leave the top two and take out a couple of springs that are not together near the middle of the spring pack. Put it together to see how it settles......and it will. Remember, you may have to redo your shocks because they may bottom out. If it needs to go lower, it goes together pretty fast the second time. C-clamps work well to get the pack together again.

  7. I removed the top 3 springs from my Posies 32 rear spring. I made an aluminum spacer to go on the bottom of the spring to allow the U bolts to tighten the spring to the crossmember. I did use slightly longer shackles as well. Right now my car sits just the way I wanted it. If the spring flatens out over time I can put original length shackles back or add the springs back. The car rides nice.

Thanks all. So, I'll play around with the spring pack and shackles to find the level I'm looking for.
Looks like there are no issues with a few leaves left out of the pack.
