The Edmunds setup at Carlisle was like $1500...with an edelbrock intake. A little pricey OK a lot pricey!

They were asking $2300 for the Hilborn setup. They knew what they had and were firm on the price. I guess $peed costs $$$

    Look what I have :)
Thanks to a great guy in Texas, Dominick Hide.

They are the ones in his pictures with the top edges of the fins painted blue and the Edelbrock done in red.

I blasted them and then TIG welded up and replaced the one corner fin that had been cut off.

I will repair a few of the nicks in the top of the fins and then polish the sides and fin tops.

    Thanks so much.
These will look great on the new Y Block from Tim.
    Larry.

From what I understand from a number of sources,..... $2,300. is a smoking deal for a complete "Y" Block Hilborn FI unit.

I have a complete 292 from (we think) a 58 Ford and a 54 Merc-O-Matic, the engine runs but has a lifter/rocker arm/pushrod problem and the tranny may be able to be rebuilt....they need a new home.

No pics at the moment... but you'll have to take my word; Weiand finned rocker covers, Weiand 3x2, Weiand fuel block, ram's horns, and ezc-g heads.

I wonder who currently owns the rights to those Bud Elhart valve cover, It would be killer if someone could get permission to make a new run of them.

I know I would love a set of them

My 57 Country sedan had sat since 1982. When we first fired it up in 1991 the exaust had gotten some rust. The orange cloud was hilarious, but the sound was magnificent. Y block through 60's glass packs. MMmmmmMMMmmm

  24. Looks more like a pump for a 6.2 GM diesel than a Y-Block.

Yes, it is isn't it. :) Love the Y Blocks. Nothing sounds as sweet as a strong running Y Block.
