The broken car look gets old

 

I agree, laying on the ground with a bunch of camber isn't really that cool looking. Nice cars though.

 

I disagree, nothing broken there. Two very nice cars, and the stance fits the cars perfectly. I'm jealous, ( like a couple other posters ). . Nice work!!

 

I think you misunderstood, I do not believe Nads was referring to those cars, but to the popularity of the sitting on rockers crowd.

 

I fail to understand the perceived 'coolness' of a vehicle that looks as though it's suspension has completely collapsed due to piss poor engineering....

 

The second picture is a beauty.

 

I like customs with the tail down a little. Has that art deco "at speed" look to me, despite how slow the cars might actually be. LOL. Conversely, hot rods with the nose down (especially heavily raked ones) kind of confuse me. Some times they look nasty and fast (aero / drag racing wise) but at other times they just look like they are hard on the brakes to trying to avoid a crash! Gary

If you look at the first pic., the red Merc is laying on the ground like a mini truck. Looks great in the second picture. I would be proud to own either car.

 

i love the look of both stances. air ride is very nice when done right and doesnt always have to lay rocker. different strokes for diff folks. i think there both bitchin

I have to agee with Nads, that broken car laying in a field look is getting real old and I could never under stand the reasoning behind it when the mini truck brigade started doing it.

I can't wait for the "laying frame" fad to be over. When you point out to them that it looks terrible they always say "Well there were these three cars in the '50s that were on bags so it's traditional!"

Meanwhile, those few cars were all tastefully done and shiny, but, would still look better with a static drop. All these cars today are rusty, primered, missing parts, and laying frame. Looking like they're on their way to the junkyard.

 

Personally-I am really tired of the ""I have no suspension" look as well....
Im building a new driver that is like we drove in the mid 60's ,it is definitely out of trend-dont know -don't care.... but I never did fit in with the really cool guys.....too bad.
besides- I like bein able to run a lawn mower under my '62!!

 

Never cared for the "Slammed" look. The 60's "Boulevard Cruiser" look fits those year cars. NOT 40's and '50's cars,IMO.

 

agree 100% with you bad bob.i saw a beautiful 55 chevy the other day draggin its frame on the ground.ruined it for me.
