They're rollin through here on I-44. I saw a couple early this morning and just met some more when heading back from town. Should be excellent weather for it. Sam

  5. I drove my coupe to Branson, yesterday, to take a customer to lunch, and saw a dozen or so cars down there. I'm getting ready to run across town, in the truck, to check in at registration.

Haven't missed it for years. Will be walking around with the new IPad taking pics and making notes. Live about 5 miles from fairgrounds.

  14. That is a cool fairgrounds for any event. Wish it was closer, last time I went to the Mid America Nats and any NSRA event for that matter was when it was in Sioux Falls in 86 or 87!

I'll be there, with my Dad's and his '62 Nova and his Nova buddies. I think it's $10-12 admission. And I love my neighbors...they just brought media passes over for us, woohoo!

  18. Saw ryno and fam at the "awards" this afternoon.

Attendance was down from where it has been but was up 31 registrations over last year (according to the announcements) Unlike every other year, it was blistering hot and NO rain.

Must of been another good looking son of a bitch, because it was not me.
My son and I went yesterday. The top lot sure seemed empty. All the power parkers where probaly happy, so you could get a good shot of there black ford, with out the 4 other black fords in the back ground.

Saw some cool rides, got some swap meet bs and visited with some old friends. Good way t blow a few hundred.

  20. My bad...thought that was you.

I know that it was down a couple hundred cars over where it's been in the past. One thing I noticed more this year than in the past was the number of guys doing burnouts as they were leaving. I'd correlate that directly to the number of muscle cars, etc, in attendance.

Was a good weekend. Lots of rods and others. Saturday night on Glenstone was quite a trip. Glad it didn't rain. Got home no problems but the bugs were thick. Clean the rod up tomorrow.
