I didn't even recognize the Vicky as the one for sale on CL several years ago...Chevy motor and lots of questionable workmanship at the time. I called and talked with you, stillrunners, about buying it but decided against it. Glad to see that it's got a good new owner who has really turned it around.

I was talking to Ken Smith when it pulled up by Ken's banger-powered roadster pickup (which has some history as well). He did the lettering on the car and gave me a little run-down on the car. He said it had been sitting, untouched, in a warehouse since 1961. Awesome day at Yello Belly!

Looks like a neat old drag strip. Your sitting right on top of the track.

Is that track as cool in person as it is in pictures? Whats the deal with the covered pit area?

I believe it was once a farmers market way back when. It's very cool but it's treacherous for the quicker cars. You get a good one then you get a hairy one.

  19. I believe that the very clean 3 window on first page here belongs to Charlie Duran,,,if so Its the old drag car of Huddleston&Fake from the late 50s,,ran at Caddo Mills..
and Danny I wish you would post the name of the guy with the 40 Coupe,,He was probably racing at Caddo also...
