The Toro flo diesel was built using the big gas V-6 which I believe your right it would be the 478, most likley the little jimmy came with a 305 V-6 and with that big ole house on there it will not be a ball of fire.

Here is an old teardrop. Known as a "Jim Dandy" style it has the galley/storage area in the front instead of the rear. I added the siding and roofing just about a year ago before heading to Bonneville.

Here are some of the interior. It is pretty minimal but with the foam mattress and battery powered led lights it is quite comfortable.

Looks more like Jethro Bodine than Jim Dandy style, but I like it.

Looks like that corrugated would be hard to make weather tight and hot. Is it insulated? What's behind the siding to keep water out?

The roofing and siding were both applied over a sound shell made of plywood. All of the screwholes are filled with silicone caulking. The top and sides are not watertight but the underlying structure is. There is no insulation. The windows and vent work pretty well and I hook up a 12 volt fan to a battery when I need extra airflow. Attached are some pics before the new exterior was added.

Oooh! No insulation and no A/C. I guess by night fall you're OK though. Thanks for the pics.

This is the second (serial number two) Scotty Serro Sportsman ever built, I got it from the estate of the original owner. Going to clean it up and only "preserve" it. New paint inside, new re-pop tail and marker lights. Should look cool behind my '63 Merc or the Ford wagon.

  30. Those are pretty cool! And highly sought after in the '54 Ford croud. I hope you can do something with it one day.
