I registered on this site after having read threads on this site many times. My first posting was a screw-up in that I did not first introduce myself, so I am correcting that right now! I first started working on cars out of necessity, since I could not afford to pay someone else to do it. I grew up in the North East U.S. where laying under your car in the snow to fix something on your car is not that unusual. My current residence is in Southern California now, and I appreciate being under a car without snow underneath me! Im currently working on a fairly stock 49 four door Mercury (Im the 3rd owner) & a 56 Chevy 150 (Im the 2nd owner). I bought the Mercury as a Barn find meaning someone parked it for 20 years and nothing on it worked! I towed it home, and have not driven it yet, but I look forward to the day I can. Im looking forward to the interaction and knowledge this forum can bring & I hope I can contribute something to the cause! Thanks! Joey V
