    Planned on going......

For some reason the Ohio National Guard always makes us "play Army" on the most inopportune weekends.

Saturday at high noon for the HAMB meet and greet !
Guess those of us who will be running on the Wilmington mile wont be meeting and greeting. How about a meet and greet after racing is over latter in the day.

Official lunch break is on the schedule for 11:30am on Saturday. Grab a sandwich and walk over to say hello as folks usually start gathering sooner for the meet & greet. There is no perfect time thats convenient for 30-40 peeps.

I hung out with Enjenjo yesterday and we talked about him bringing the BBQ trailer so there might be a BBQ lunch for HAMB and RRT members during the Meet & Greet. More details as the time gets closer.

I have been involved with LSR type events for close to 50 years. While I am not a player at Wilmington, I would guess that the 1/2 hr break is not for lunch. It will be more of a "lets move this or that", could be much less than 30 min. If I were in attendance I would go for the post meet party. But, saying that, I have been early and maybe never late for a good race party.

Info on CRUISE-IN Saturday night in HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON!!!

Hey All! I live in Wilmington and am brand new to this forum. I am here to let you know I will be overseeing the CRUISE-IN that will take place in Downtown Wilmington the Saturday night ECTA will be in town. I hope to be able to answer any questions you may have.

The cruise-in is from 6PM - 9PM (music until 10PM, drinking until ???). Live music will be performed by River City Rewind http://rivercityrewind.com/ a 60's - 80's rock and roll band from Cincinnati. We will be serving beer and other beverages you can enjoy in the concert and cruise-in areas (as long as our permit is approved, and it should be). Local foods will also be available throughout the evening so you can eat your supper there. And yes, there will be plenty of room for dancing!!!

I read where HAMB may want to meet sometime. If it works out you would want to meet at the cruise-in, we can reserve a table or two for you. Just let me know.

I will be monitoring this thread but anyone can contact me directly at [email protected].

Hope to see you April 28 and WELCOME to Wilmington!!!!!!

    Hotel info is here http://www.clintoncountyohio.com/

This event is one of four races that John has put together for this year. The schedule is tentatively set for june 2-3, July 7-8, and Sept. 29-30. There are also cruise-ins scheduled for each race weekend, as well as cruise-ins on July 20 and Aug. 17.

For more info call John Porterfield at 937-728-6800

There are also 3 or 4 motels within 5 miles of the cruise and race sites.

ECTA had a cap of 175 vehicle's max the pre registration was filled up in less that two weeks. The total is split almost even between bikes and cars with a few trucks included.
The first pass for every vehicle will be limited to a max of 175 MPH so everyone will be able to get a feel for the new shut down distance after there mile run.
Any vehicle able to go above 175 will be able to let it all hang out on their second run. Considering the top speeds attained at our old mile in Maxton which was over 270 MPH for a motor cycle and over 240 MPH for a car the Wilmington mile should be faster. But time will tell. We now have less than week to go before we find out what the top speeds will be.

I'll be there. With Kowalski of course. Debuting a new A powered A roadster. Gotta run her through her paces and get her through tech and ready for August!
