Used to have this '60. Traded it for the 55. Traded that for the 29 last Fall.

That 60 is real nice. Do not see those around much now. Plenty of 55 Chev survivors around. I like the old school 29 a lot. I hope you dress that flathead engine up as much as you can. They are one nice looking motor. That car is dripping with nostalgia. Good luck with it.

Thanks -- I had that Olds for almost 20 years -- it was time for something else. And yes, the flathead is dressed for success.

  5. I don't think I have posted on this thread. I haven't looked real good just a quick scroll through but there is a lot to see. Some pretty slick iron.

I am afraid that I do not own an oldmobile, I do own an olds engine, but it is in the basment in pieces. Not much to look at I am afraid.

Anyway it just amazes me how many olds folks that are on this board and the quality of the pieces that are posted here.

Not my Olds but my Uncle's. I came across this old picture of it from sometime in the early 50s.

    Joeyesman,
Beautiful flathead . Miss them alot. That car is sooo cool.

54 Olds, It has a decent body and you have some work ahead. It will make a real nice car though. Good Luck with her. Hang in there.

Mike, Sold that nice Olds coupe . Great cult classic. I guess it was tough to let that one go.

Damn! What a jewel. Who can blame you for feeling the way you do? I would feel wonderful too. I like the colors very much. Great investment in this time capsule. Wishing you the best with her.

Still a project. This spring the 350 Chevy will be replaced by a 1966 425.

I'm guessing getting parts for Olds in the Netherlands is like getting parts for Olds in Australia, good choice of engine. I have heard those super rocket 425 motors are a real nice piece of gear. should propel the F85 nicely.

My '55 4 door sedan driver & '71 Supreme convertible sleeper (bench seat 4 speed with 455). Couple of '55 4 door hardtops in the background...lifetime away from seeing the road again.

My avatar is a '55 2 door post - has a '57 371 with a factory 3 speed. Excellent survivor - needs a lot to get on the road though - thankfully none of it is bodywork.

Live and breathe these cars - My daughters are named Holiday and Starfire...

Here's mine still a long way to go. I've done so much work on it already, and still so much more to do. Well, with spring just around the corner maybe i'll get my but in gear and start on it again.
