Been all over the usual sources.....Grainger, McMaster-Carr, Fastenal. I'm looking for a source for INTERNAL SNAP RINGS. O.D. when no load expanded .750+/- .010 .060 thickness steel, any finish. Nothing I've seen is available in that diameter with a thickness more than .030. Anybody in heavy trucks or construction equipment with these dimensions? Or close to them........
I don't think a ring would expand/install at that thickness for that small a diameter. Can you double up thinner ones? Used to do that on certain piston/wrist pin locks. Speaking of, can you use a spiral loc? They are near impossible to remove.
Spiral locks won't do it. They are to replace the wire type retainers in a set of hydraulic lifters that have been converted to solids.
