Event Coverage Rose Parade Route Cruise TODAY!***PHOTOS

Had a nice cruise this morning of the parade rout along Colorado Blvd.
Lots of HAMBers there.
Bitchin day...81 degrees!!!!!!!
Let's post some photos here.

Be fore-warned: all vehicles are not traditional hot rods. This cruise is open to anyone...Corvette guys, street rod guys, etc.
Just a ton of car junkies enjoying the sunshine and warm weather....!!!

We started to meet at about 8AM and were on our way at 10:00.
This has been a tradition for many years and this year with the 1st of the month falling on a sunday, the parade is held on the 2nd.
The sidewalks are full of people waiting for the noon hour when it's OK to move their camping stuff out to the sidewalks.

SO CAL weather a great day for cruising Colorado Blvd, looks like a lot of fun in the sun. Looking at the pictures the Donut crowd would be right at home on this day and cruise. Thanks for posting.............

heading over the 90 year old "Suicide bridge".....

 

now, after turning around, heading back eastbound to the parade route, Colorado Blvd.-Route 66...one the left is the 210 (Foothill) Freeway interchange and the 134 Freeway





if you were to look left here, you'd see the Rose Bowl...



at the corner of Colorado and Orange Grove...this is the corner that's seen on parade morning on TV as the floats turn right onto the parade route

Was that a blast or what?
We went to The Boat afterwards & ran into a bunch of Corvette guys my wife went to school with. Pretty cool- hadn't seen them in 30 years!

I'll post mine up later tonight. I have about 75 shot w/ my POS P&S- not the DSLR. Off to my sons for dinner. Later!
