    Great thread.

Have you found your engine and transmission yet? Perhaps military surplus is an option. Being a former Air Force guy, I know of Aviano Air Base, close to Venice I believe. Not sure if other branches of the US military have bases in Italy. Maybe a surplus truck can be used for a donor vehicle. Not sure how the old military vehicles are dispossed of in Europe. In the Us some get auction off. To get a 350 (5.7) and not a 305 (5.0) you might have to get a 3/4 ton or higher rated truck. Which would be a C20 (3/4 ton), or C30 (1 ton). Good chance it would have the transmission you need. Engine and /or trans might need rebuilt, but could possibly sell off parts you don't want to get some of your money back.

Excellent work!! I like your idea of a white paint job, there are too many black trucks out there. White with pinstripes to highlight the interior? Just an idea. Keep up the good work!

Love it man, what are your plans for the tires. I love the contrast of the aged white walls against the immaculate chassis. My opinion, leave those tires right where they are.

Many thanx 38Fish, the body will be white and the interior ... I was thinking of a dark red leather.... but the interior still have time to decide. If you have any idea of color to white to match the body, I accept tips. Thanks

@ KurseD: The tires are 235/75-15 rear and 215/75-15 front, perhaps Coker Classic
(or BFGoodrich) WhiteWall with Wheel Vintiques chrome smoothie wheels and shannon cone cups.

Today I changed the old Wheel Studs 7/16 " with new 1/2-20 RH.
As shown in the photos I used a puller and then enlarged the hole
