I am really stoked to see it as well and extremely honored Brian asked me to do the art work for the DVD and Jacket. He's put his blood and sweat (Brian doesn't cry....he's a gypsy) into this film and I think it's going to set the bar in terms of Hot Rod Documentaries.

He's the real deal. He lives and breathes hot rods and I think it's going to come across in this DVD.

Looks like a great movie! But when did Traditional stuff have to have a "Punk Rock" sound track? Will they offer a version with a music track for guys who were actually there in the day? Carl Perkins, maybe?

Fritz, that's only one song in the trailer. The movie itself has plenty of rock 'n roll, surf rock, and even some good old blues in the sound track.

Thanks for all of the kind words everybody.

Thank god Brian is putting some attitude back into hot rodding, with the music he chose. I frankly have a hard time identifying with old timey/rock-a-silly type stuff that became synonymous with todays "car culture", no offense.

At 42 I feel punk rock and hot rodding is about as complimentary to each other, as it gets. For some reason I don't get that warm "Glen Miller" type feeling when I drive my hot rod, it's more of a Misfits meets the Ramones with a touch of GG Allin experience.

Can't wait to see the DVD.

I get a Gorilla Biscuits feeling most of the time but lately it's been a Black Angels. :D

Also I think the level of filming quality has been upped a few notches with this film. Everything looks very professional and I told Brian the only thing I thought was missing was Ken Burns narrating.

I'm 25 but agree with Chris, high-energy music for high-energy cars.

    But to each their own.

I better get around to ordering a copy before they run out!

I gotta agree with this one. Never heard that song till I watched the trailer but it fits perfectly. This coming from a long time metal head.
I've been back & forth about what I want to drop in my '51 F1 after the sbc wears out, either a flattie or Y block. Seeing this trailer pushes me (again) in the flattie direction. I love the way they sound and the cool factor is through the roof.

Back in the late 60's I had a 39 Ford, Offy heads, Fenton 2x2 manifold, Stromberg 97's and a 3/4 race cam. Had a ball with that car, used to beat stock 283's back then....

So many cars I wish I still had................:D

everytime I hear a flathead my mind goes back to 'dem ol daze'. Ridin thru the canyon to Laguna Beach in my buddys 3/8 x 3/8 powered duece rdstr. wind it out to 90 in second and over 100 in high. Yep beat them Chevies, [for awhile] Didnt have a radio but had Chuck Berry n Little Richard then ,and we really could hear 'Da Wolfman' at night in town. My duece had a 265 chevy it was one of very few in town. It solved so many problems, just bolt it in and drive away. But I had to build it to beat that flathead.

Cool!!! Love hearing stories like that! I feel like the 265 was the natural progression for many of flathead guys since they bolted in using the same mounts. 265's are one of my top 3 favorite engines and even though I am running one in my '35 the FLATHEAD definitely gets the nod for THEE COOLEST ENGINE EVER!!!
