Ok I was hitting up the garage sales in my area found a set of aluminum valve covers for 5 bucks for small block Chevy figured I could use them for something they are finned and in the middle is M/T dose any one no what that stands for is It mickey Thompson I can only guess what u guys will say but really would like the rite answer thanks
got a photo? they made several different styles. some are pretty rare, then some were made by the 10's of thousands.
If they are aluminum with fins they came in cars with manual transmissions(M/T). Why? You got an automatic?
It would depend on how old they are. A ton of these are from the muscle-car era, and the '70s. These would NOT be traditional here.
They were massed produced and very popular in the 80's and 90's and are now in production again! There are some earlier M/T covers that very much scream "traditional". The boys on here are having fun because this subject has been covered three milliion two hundred and twenty two times on different threads. As always, "a thread search is our best friend'! seems like hot rodding is working with what you got, and if you got them or have them then run them if you like them. personally as long as theyre clean (like not dirty in the sense) theyre fine. but when i pop a hood and see a pair covered in grease and oil and someone says "yeah i put them on" it makes me think white trash. so clean them up and keep them that way
If you grind off the M/T and put a set of Moon breathers in that area they look cool. Well on the big block ones they do.

This isn't a "Work with whatever is laying around" place, it's a trditional place, '65-ish or older, cars and parts, a lot of us take that seriously. The H.A.M.B. has been getting diluted lately with late model stuff, four door grandma wagon gasssers, etc.
