Had to wade back through to find this pic.

    A very sobering image.

If you are feeling hard done by, just have a look at this for a minute. Pretty soon you'll realise things aren't so bad after all.

    Mart.

Jimi, you do realize that Pete was fired and replaced with Ringo by Brian Epstein at Paul and John's urging?

It is amazing to me how many convertibles show up in the pics. I don't remember hardly ever seeing one when growing up. Utilitarian town I guess. ref. 29204. I would take that Olds convert!

Kinda looks like the 101 at Paso Robles, right before you make the right turn and climb the hill. Cal Poly would be over the hill on the left.

Pete a better musician ?? better looking?? the only thing BEST about Pete was his name.. Pete missed a lot of gigs, and a replacement drummer was found in Richard Starky, who was already in a successful band. John had said that the band pulled together when Ringo played for them, and something was missing when Pete played for them. after some persuasion Ringo replaced Pete

  26. Maybe it was a regional thing but convertibles weren't uncommon when I was a kid in the 60s and into the early 70s. I had 3 'verts, a '65 Mustang, '66 Catalina and a '70 Satellite. Nothing special about them back then - including that all 3 of 'em leaked & squeaked!

But yeah that '57 Olds is a nice one.

I straight fuckin shed a few tears watching that video, very emotional thinking of all those who lost their life and did not live to celebrate the end of the war in the pacific.

What has happened to the United States of America :( Why are we making their death in vain selling our country out in debt.
