Hi, I have an old set of wheels made by ET, called their 'Don Garlits' wheel. The wheels are 16"x13", are spun aluminum, and have 8 holes in them...pattern is 5x5". I've had them for years, and was wondering if anybody knows anything about them. I've only seen one other set of these wheels (in a picture in an old Hot Rod magazine of Garlits standing by one of his dragsters). Any info or history on these wheels would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug
I looked around didnt find any info ,I would call Garlits museum and see what they have to say i needed some info a few yrs ago and they were real helpful good luck

here's a few pics of the wheels/tires holding up one of our anglia bodies...i don't have any 'straight on' pictures, but you can kinda see what they look like.
16x13" was the common size for T/F and FunnyCars. Those wheels would have some value to anyone restoring an old (70's) race car.
These were a wheel we made by taking 2 spun halfs and furnas brazing them together, these were done prior to the centerline rivited wheels. They were made for Garlits and there is a set of fronts in the musuem on one of the swamp rats.
wow...pretty cool. how many different sizes did you make? were they just for Don Garlits, or could anybody buy them? thanks, doug
et wheels, i took a closer look at the 8 holes & see a seam...they are a two piece wheel. thanks for the info.
