Yeah I know it's a stretch but I'm hoping you guys could post up some pictures of Rods or Kustoms in a Brown shade. Whatever happened to Root Beer Brown? Was it just too ugly it left the scene? Maybe even a brownish copper shade.

    Let's see what you've got!

No pics of it on my computer, but the rpu that Pinkee's built a few years ago had a killer metallic brown.

I am also interested in seeing a nice metallic root beer color with the manufacturers name and the exact paint code. I want to do my car this color also, but a photo without the info does me no good. Thanks in advance.

Check out the OT Honda car color Root Beer, flops from deep brown to a sparkling golden brown. I can get the code if you like it.

The right brown can look nice...warm, earthy, easy on the eyes.

Somebody here built a '28/'29 AV8 fenderless roadster, painted a very dark brown. About the color of a Dove Bar. Looks so good. If I can find a pic, I'll post it.

new mini coopers are available in a brown color called 'hot coco' or something similar. it doesnt look very flatering online but it look preety rad in person if you happen to have a dealer near you or a paint shop with a sample. its a kinda copper metalic brown.

i know a mini cooper isnt anything near a vintage car but its worth a look to get your gears turning.

Resqd, try to find someone with a mid 70's Chevrolet color chip book. Vegas had a very ,very deep dark brown with gold metallic. I did a 37 Chev cp. in that color, man did it look good,in the sun light, the fine gold in the paint made it really sparkel and at night it looked black,it was the only brown I could find that I liked. I just can't remember the color name. I guess that has something to do with getting old.

My truck is a real dark shade of brown. At night it looks black. I really love the look of the Doyle Gammel coupe, I always thought it was black but its actually Cordoba brown.

Funny you should post this. I was thinking rootbeer brown and ivory or creme for my 40 coupe build, but finding something that looked nice has been a challenge. I think these colors go well together.

Check out Burnished Brown from the '69 Chevrolet paint chips. It's gorgeous in B/C. A local guy used it on his '33 Willys.
