I love a clean 3 window, but faced with the choice I'd go with the 5 window, without hesitation.

3W for sure, I'm going to take heat for this I'm sure but I have always thought that the 5W body lines are just to 'plain'.

if you look at my album you might conclude incorrectly. this is like which kid would i choose! personally i believe a full fendered 3w with substantial rake ,otherwise stock appearing body is the epitome of hot rods, even more than the deuce roadster (maybe geographic raised in upstate NY). i would be forever grateful to receive either. let me know if you need shipping address.

would rather have a model A five window than a duece three window. Five window 32, 33, 34 fords or bust for me.....my honest opinion Jive

or like a '32 that I think is certainly a benchmark of great '32s...Doyle Gammel's:

There are just way too many that I like.

To me, a 3W with a nasty chop and Hot Flatty just screams HOT ROD!

I'd take the fiver, but what I really like about this thread is the many opinions about the way they'd build either choice to their tastes. Variety keeps this hobby interesting! Hotrodding is a good marriage of creative art and engineering.

I'd go with the 5 window, but the real decision would be on which way to go with it.Fendered or fenderless.I'll cross that bridge if I 'm ever there.I'll include a couple of pics of my faves.

  18. Well, i ain't the only deuce owner to reply and I own a 5 window but I gotta admit the 3 windows are easier to get in and out of. HRP

this question makes my brain hurt!! I can't decide.

make it black and full fendered and just suprise me since I'd take either.

Three window, just so I wouldn't confuse the experts.

This is really hard. I really have to think about what build style I would follow through with. Like most guys on here I agree with 3 window - fenderless/hammered/slight channel, and 5 window - fenders/slight chop/and cutting the weeds with the front bumper (yes it would have full bumpers). But, than I second guess myself, how about switching around the recipe? Doing things a bit different.

I'm not sure if I can make a decision. I'm a sucker for stock suicide doors, and the 3- windows look bitchin' in every form, but I'm going with 5-window.....I think

I didn't even think about suicide doors being easier to get in and out of, and that is something I should be thinking about.

You didn't mention it in the article. Is it OK if I make the doors open backwards?

5 window with flatty, fenders, boards and a mild drop axle with rubber rake. Saving the three window for the year '34'.
