Wow, that is a great looking car you really did a nice job on it. The old photos showing it's heritage are great too. Is that the same engine or did you have to replace it?

    hi all

    thanks for the kind words

the engine was set back abour 4" or 5"

i wanted some legroom so moved it forward and left off the hood sides

my uncle had problems with the hemi in the early 60s replaced it with a 413, i put another hemi back in it

the car still has the same headlights, sw wings gauges, club license plate, spare tire + cover, and some other stuff from the orig 50s build

it still has the 1956 participant sticker with his name, car class, e.t. and speed imprinted in it from when he competed at the 1956 us nationals in kansas city

he and the car are listed in the program

    thanks

Thanks!!! I was thinking of setting back my hemi in my '32 when it gets to that point so if 4-5" is what it take to clear the sides that doesn't sound too bad. I'm still up in the air whether it'll be a HEMI, 301 Chevy or a flathead but this definitely get's me leaning towards that Double Rocker! Great car and awesome history!

Very cool to share those pics.

Your profile says "East" for location, so maybe I will see it someday at a show.

I'm curious how you have your steering box set up with the engine set back?

  29. Big mopar what a ho hum duece. :D:D

beautiful old piece of history my friend. Keepin' it in the family rightious.

I gave a double take in your album at that black and white with the fella standing in the rumble seat. In the thumbnail it looked like he was taking a leak, I had to open it to check.

If you want to post those pics in a thread just open the tumbnail in your album and the bottom box has an image tag it will say [IMG] Copy and past it right into the thread. bam it will link directly to the album and open full sized in the thread.

Anyway too much info cool car.
