A fenderless, red oxide, '29 RPU sitting at stock height on 14- or 15-inch chrome smoothies with Denman-type WWW.

Cragars! I forgot they were Cragars. Maybe it's just all I've encountered in the meantime, but it doesn't look so bad these days.

Not there. Go to your original post that I just quoted and move your mouse over your name and look at the very bottom of your screen.....see the words jalopyjournal.com/forum/member...? The last number is your join number.

  20. #39 checking in. Was on the orig. Mostly just hang out and read. Wish 39 was my age .. getting old. Is anyone keeping count on the 1st 500 being around ? I am pretty sure Ed ( #195 ) has passed. He wasn't doing real well and his IMs stopped quite awhile back.

I've been on here a while, but do not know my number, have no idea what grenade inspector means or how it got in my id and don't know how to update my profile. It's a bitch when you get old and don't know or understand this crap.

Well I'm not original (I am really new) but I am now curious about the early HAMB, what was the first thread?

I think I started lurking here in early 2001. What brought me here (and caused me to join) was the fact that this place was about history & tradition in all it's purity. If you didn't own, or had built a period correct car, or didn't grow up in the times, your ass didn't belong here. In all honesty, I can't believe you guys let me in! :) I'm not close to the "first 500" mark, but I really miss the "old HAMB".

You wont have that on your screen if you arent running the status bar (which is useless and just takes of space on your screen). You can also check it by right clicking on your screen name & then select properties. There is a bunch of computer jargon, then an equal sign and a number, that number is your user number.

I don't remember when the Fly was built. Somewhere around 2001. When was the first hamb drags? 2002? The Vultures built that T I think a year later. Sams RR was already built I think.
