$400 for a new grille?...I don't think so

The grill for my 40 chevy was pretty bent up and a re-pop is out of my price range on this project. Here's my take on a homemade grille, what do you think?

I dunno. It looks kind of naked with only 4 bars. I think you should have put all 16 in it, then it would look really nice!!

    Looks great from here.

I'd bet it was difficult to get all the bars shrunk to the exact same curves. If a few are off a bit, it probably won't show unless it was chromed.

Yeah 16 bars, hard to make them all perfect. Done with my trusty HF shrinker stretcher.

    Nice job on the Grille.
That body style is really good looking.
More Pics of your Truck would be great.

Great job. I like the custom grill better than the OG.

Looks great. How much quicker was it to make the last bar compared to the first one?

  24. VERY impressive!! my problem is i work so much it would be easier and quicker to buy one than to make one. and everyone knows it's WAY more rewarding to make one! I'm jealous

Ha, Ha, By the time I made the last one I felt like knew what I was doing! I didn't show the pile of prototypes that were on the bench.
