    Sorry man! :)
It's the only mag I get anymore, so it's my only choice!

My choice would be HOP UP. After all, it's all about the iron.

Funny...you could have been reading my mind, line for line, Mike. I've mentioned this R&C hot-and-cold thing to buds, but they don't get it. Like they're plugged into Street Rodder & R&C life support...Flatline's next. LOL
    Let me eat HAMB.

My favorite is Skinned Knuckles magazine. Restoration oriented, but 99% tech articles. Been getting it since it came out in 1976 and have them all.

R&C hasn't put out a bad issue in a long time. Great magazine.

  12. I used to get 6 diffrent ones, but cut down to TRJ, and New Zealand Hot Rod Magazine.
If i had to choose one, as much as i love American hot rodding, id have to pick my local one, NZHRM.

You missed the first question: "but stuff a guy built on his own that you could see yourself doing". TRJ is truly great, but they don't feature many back-yard builds. At least not form later than the 1950's.

Custom Classic Trucks is bout the only one i subscribe to now. Although have interest in almost anything with wheels and engine. LOL

  16. I currently subscribe to Hot Rod and Street Rodder. Believe it or not, HOT ROD has been returning to it's roots in the past few months...lots of history and trad rods. That, plus their willingness to spend a bunch of bucks on motor projects...I'll be in the minority and give HRM my vote

R&C or Hot Rod Deluxe. I see Hot Rod is going back to where it started but I'll hold off on the sub. to see if it sticks.

    Rolls and Pleats.

Great event coverage, a few feature cars and lots of pics and info for a little mag. Plus some excellent photos and articles from HAMB people.

My favorite mag, and they never get stale. I can pull out the latest issue or one a few years old and it's still great to look at. Also a good mix of homebuilt cars, tasteful shop built cars and historical hot rods and customs.

  19. I've read so many magazines in my past.. there is just about a library, here! I don't know if I will subscribe to any of these in the future. But as of now, I get Street Rodder, for what it offers. Rod & Custom, for my hearts desires.. but not soo much lately! The Ganahl years were the best. And Hot Rod for its info on mechanical technology(and YEAH, Imma sbc guy, which we know they're not shy about)

I like popular hot rodding, mainly for the tech side of the hobby. I have many R&C and SR, but it seems as alot of it is mainly repetition.

Rod & Custom, My fave used to be Custom Rodder !!!

Rodders Journal is an exceptional magazine but pricey. I just got the 'Hollingsworth Nomad" clone issue, I love that car more than chocolate.

I loved Custom Rodder, I always hoped it would come back.

CARtoons was my all time favorite.

I usually buy R&C, Street Rodder, and Hot Rod deluxe every month.
I subscribe to Wheels of Time - the ATHS quarterly and Vintage Truck.

  23. You're kidding, right? NZHRM went down the tubes after Rob Campbell passed it on.

Rolls and Pleats and HotRod Deluxe for me. For a local mag I'll take Jamming Gears.

I subscribe to 8 car magazines. If I had to get rid of all but one, I would keep getting Hot Rod Deluxe.
