    Hey, darn good point. Early on, the Great Lakes region (and Detroit in particular) were by no means the HUB of the auto industry. Cars and trucks were turned out in the majority of the states, at one point or another. Off hand, Cleveland, Buffalo, St. Louis, Chicago and several Indiana cities vied for the top-producer spot.

    I was at school in the late 40's and 50's there were several kids from one parent families and orphanages because one or both parents had been killed either fighting or by bombing. Lots of kids were moved from the big citys to smaller safer ones like the one Ilive in

    I never considered that a motorcycle with a sidecar is considered a 'personel carrier'...but in war times, anything goes!
