Damage at Autorama?

Had one here in KC years ago and dropped a ramp across hood and fenders. Took it to Bob Arnolds shop to fix and boy what a POS. was real bondo buggy. patched it up and on with the show.

HEY! I think I drove 35 miles with a buddy to look at buying this car once. Advertised as "Very straight rust free '69 charger" When we pulled in the driveway, I said "Thats GOTTA be the parts car...PLEASE tell me thats the parts car" It wasnt.

 

Old guys need larger photos. Front fender took a hit also.

Geez, I am always nervous pulling into car shows. I think to myself "dont be the guy that hits someone elses ride." All it takes is to let the clutch out with it in gear or some other dumb mistake.....

at least one bystander was injured, and had the paramedics come for him. The Pro-Stock S-10, was leaving the check-in area, and went sideways, taking out most of the check-in areas tables, it hit the stantions then broadsided the General Lee clone. It pushed the General Lee sideways almost a foot.

It was a huge mess, and lots of damage. the S-10 destroyed it's front clip, windshield, and boxside, the General Lee clone is damaged fender to quarter.

Yeah that was some crazy shit, I didn't see the accident but I saw the aftermath... You can't tell much from the picture but it looked like the throttle stuck cause he left 2 patches on the carpet that was under the GL..

A guy there told me he didn't hit the people on the first hit, he said he put it in reverse THEN hit them! I didn't know the guy so of course, take that with a grain of salt cause that could be just a stupid rumor.

Another good reason not to allow s-10's at Cobo!!!

 

i think that gen lee belongs to a member of my model car club...next meeting should be interesting..

It was a Miller-Meteor Eterna Combination. Not to be trivial. But yeah, it looks to be a '70 Superior back there.

Yes and she is a Stevens High Grad like myself and her folks still live in the same house here in Rapid City.

 

I thought all the S-10 frames were under street rods!
