Trying to figure out this motor I got.Under the valve cover was 14022601(305ho)back of the block 3970010(1968 327,1969-79 350).Why would this head be on a 327/350?What are the benefits,if any?How can I tell if its a 327 or 350?Any info is appreciated-Marcus

  2. I ran those heads on my 327 for years. Better flow and slightly higher compression.

Good set up ,If compression on your motor is lets say 8.5 to one the heads will raise it to 9. to one ,,,,At least thats what I was taught .

Smaller valve combo and I think a 58cc chamber. The HO heads are what gives the 305 better bottom end power and better mpg usually over the standard crappy 305 head. Those heads on a 350 or 327 would bump compression and also add to the torque
